This is a classical ballet class that is suitable for those who have never taken a ballet class and want to learn ballet or for those who are looking for a class that moves at a slower pace. Time will be taken to break down and explain the ballet positions, postures and movements throughout class. Class will be done at the barre and will progress at a slow pace. Exercises will be simple so you can focus on proper alignment and strengthening the muscles that will support you throughout class. The class will give you a solid foundation in ballet posture, positions, movements and terminology. Exercises will be set to classical piano music for ballet classes. No tights, leotards, ballet shoes, or buns required, just wear stretchy clothing that allows you to move freely (eg - yoga pants), socks and have your hair pulled back.

This is a classical ballet class for those who have been absent from ballet and want to get back into it, or for people who have done ballet forever and want to continue doing it. A good understanding of ballet positions, movements and terminology is recommended before taking this class. Classes will focus mostly on barre work. If time allows, class might include some centre work including port de bras, adage and pirouettes. Exercises will focus on lengthening, strengthening and re-training muscles and memory. More advanced dancers are welcome to do the class en pointe. Classes will be set to classical piano music. If you are new to ballet, I recommend starting with a few "Adult Beginner Ballet" classes before joining the "Adult All Levels Ballet" class.

This is a class for anyone who is looking for a different way to exercise and move. Suitable for those who have never danced before, have been absent from dance and want to get back into it, or for people who have
danced forever and want to keep going.
Classes are inspired by an eclectic mix of Modern Dance techniques. The ideas of suspension and release and finding and using weight and momentum are a theme throughout the class exercises which are designed to tone, strengthen and lengthen muscles without you even noticing.
The contemporary music that each exercise is set to (electronic, percussion, classical, pop) will guide you along and inspire you to move and have fun. By the end of the class you will feel relaxed, centered and like you had a good work out. Open to teens aged 16+ as well as adults.

Tone, Strengthen & Stretch! Done primarily at the barre, this class infuses elements of ballet and contemporary dance with fitness and yoga exercises that are designed to tone, strengthen and lengthen. Specific focus will be given to the lower body… quads, hamstrings and glutes, as well as the core. Class will progress from a quick and gentle cardio work out to warm you up, through a series of toning and strengthening exercises at the barre with stretching exercises in-between the toning/strengthening exercises.
Each exercise will be set to music to
motivate you. No ballet or dance experience
is necessary and all levels are welcome. If you need some extra cushion, feel free to bring a yoga mat and some indoor running shoes (both are optional).

A slow moving yoga class where time is given in each pose to feel muscles lengthening and/or strengthening. Classes might start either seated or standing, might include a short meditation and will end with a longer savasana than a vinyasa class.
Accessible for all levels, but a very good place to start for beginners who are new to yoga who are unfamiliar with the names of the yoga asanas (poses). The entire class will be done on a yoga mat and might utilize yoga blocks and straps (provided).
Please bring your own yoga mat.

A quicker paced, more fluid class where the breath is used to create a sense of flow between each yoga pose, less time is spent in each pose and poses might be repeated several times with modifications for each repetition. Classes will typically start standing with sun salutations, move through a series of standing, seated and reclined poses and end with a savasana. Accessible for all levels, but more suitable for people who have an understanding of the basic yoga asanas (poses) and their names. Vinyasa classes will generate more heat in the muscles and utilize more energy than a Hatha class. The entire class will be done on a yoga mat and may utilize yoga props such as blocks and straps (provided).
Please bring your own yoga mat.

Coming Soon! A class that weaves together elements of Hatha and Vinyasa yoga practices as well as ergonomic contemporary dance movements. A great class for people looking for a yoga class with a lot more movement and more of an upbeat pace than a traditional Hatha or Vinyasa practice. Class will happen primarily off of the yoga mat. It will be set to an upbeat playlist and work with the ideas of suspension and release, finding and using weight and momentum while moving though and pausing in, some traditional yoga poses. A good class for people who have some yoga experience and are thinking about trying a contemporary dance class, but don’t quite have the confidence to yet. Class may finish on the yoga mat, so bring one just in case.
